One of the Republicans who wants to battle freshman Tom Perriello in next year's congressional election vows to limit himself to three terms. Albemarle resident Laurence Verga (pictured) also vows to avoid using earmarks for pet projects. Verga made those pledges during a Thursday campaign swing that include the Arby's at Forest Lakes. Verga says he will send copies of his pledge to Republican and Democratic chairmen across the Fifth Congressional District. He's competing for the GOP nomination which will be decided next spring. Perriello was first elected in November 2008.
