City Prosecutor Discusses Regional Jail's Future



The Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail is almost full, and that's something that needs to be considered moving forward.  That's according to Charlottesville Commonwealth's Attorney Dave Chapman (pictured), who says the current jail has reached capacity and there will be a need going forward as long as our population continues to grow:

Chapman says he would like to see the city explore other options:



Chapman is running for his 6th term as the city prosecutor.  He was a guest of WINA's "Charlottesville...Right Now" with Coy Barefoot.
