Cooling Centers And Water Availability - Orange County Added To List



Orange County has a cooling center open this weekend at the rescue squad building on Berryhill Road.  It's open 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Debris Disposal
As residents continue to clean up debris after recent storms, Albemarle County is offering debris disposal assistance at the following sites to receive vegetative debris.  No construction debris, demolition debris or household goods will be accepted. No debris pick-up will be available.
County residents (or contractors clearing for County residents) can bring brush, trees, tree limbs, etc., to the following sites:
  • Walnut Creek Park
  • Mint Springs Valley Park
  • Darden Towe Park
  • Chris Green Lake Park
Sites are open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will remain open throughout the emergency.
