GOP Ticket Includes Cuccinelli, Jackson And Obenshain
Republicans have selected Chesapeake minister and lawyer E. W. Jackson as their nominee for Lieutenant Governor, completing a slate of candidates for the November 5th general election. Jackson is on a GOP ticket that includes Ken Cuccinelli for Governor and Harrisonburg State Senator Mark Obenshain (pictured) for Attorney General. Obenshain defeated Albemarle Delegate Rob Bell on the first ballot of Saturday's Republican convention in Richmond. Jackson outlasted six rivals in a contest that required several ballots. Democrats will select their nominees for Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General in a June 11th statewide primary.
