Dominion Virginia Power expects to restore electricity by Friday night to 95-98% of its customers in our area. Dominion says the process will become slower as repair crews get into the most remote areas where the damage was extreme and the access is difficult. They're now estimating that the Charlottesville area and most of the Shenandoah Valley repairs will be completed by Saturday night. They're expecting to have power back on to ALL customers by Sunday night. Dominion spokeswoman Alison Kaufmann says they continue to add more repair crews in our area because it was one of the hardest areas hit:
APCO is still hoping for full restoration by late Saturday.
