The Schilling Show

"Where the News is Made!"™

Rob Schilling, a respected voice and trusted name in the Charlottesville/Albemarle community, is pleased to be a part of the Charlottesville Radio Group family as host of WINA’s The Schilling Show.

Rob and his wife, Joan, moved to Central Virginia from Southern California in 1998 seeking a more serene lifestyle. Little did they know at the time that just a few years later Rob would be elected to Charlottesville’s City Council, the first Republican to have accomplished that feat since 1986.

Through his four years of elected public service, Rob gained a unique insight into the workings of local government and politics. Rob’s viewpoint as an “outsider” who served on the “inside” is unique in Central Virginia media.

Rob’s varied life experiences as a classroom teacher, professional musician, business owner, real estate investor, and most importantly, husband and father, have provided him with a broad, yet deep knowledge of the issues that are important to his listeners.

The Schilling Show, as Rob envisions it, is a venue for advocacy and change. While Rob takes strong stances on issues, all points of view are welcome, and Rob often hosts guests from divergent ends of the political and social spectrums.

Beyond his radio duties, Rob leads a very full life. He is a Contemporary Christian recording artist and worship leader, member of Good News Jail & Prison Ministry’s President’s Council, Realtor, and amateur home renovator.

Listener quotes:

“Imagine the area’s ‘most dangerous Republican’ and a reactionary troglodyte hosting one of the most intellectually honest shows around! How can this be?”—Doug

“The Schilling Show is absolutely fabulous; I was glued to the radio, kind of like that little RCA Dog in the old ads.”—Lewis

“I love your program. You really expose the deficiencies. You are a true watchdog for the community…pure genius.”—Toni

“Rob Schilling is a freedom fighter. He’s a brave man. He’s an honest man.”—Rick
