Yoko Ono designs John Lennon-inspired clothing line

Yoko Ono has designed a clothing line inspired by her late husband John Lennon.

The singer/artist based the menswear collection on Fashions For Men, a set of sketches she drew as a gift for the Beatle before their 1969 wedding.

Highlights from the 18-piece range include a pair of trousers with a hand silhouette stitched over the crotch and a sweater with eyelet cut-outs around the nipples.

She tells Women's Wear Daily, "I was inspired to create Fashions for Men amazed at how my man was looking so great. I felt it was a pity if we could not make clothes emphasising his very sexy bod (sic)."

"So, I made this whole series with love for his hot bod and gave it to him as a wedding present. You can imagine how he went wild and fell in love with me even more."

Ono's collection, which also features hooded sweatshirts and boots, will be stocked at Opening Ceremony stores.
