AAA Against Bigger Trucks On Highways

Legislation that would allow bigger trucks on the highways is strongly opposed by the travel organization AAA.  Pending legislation in Congress would allow trucks to haul three trailers.  Martha Meade of AAA Mid-Atlantic is going to Washington to lobby against bigger trucks.  The Teamsters union and a group representing independent truckers also oppose the higher weight limits.
