Singer Tim McGraw is giving away 25 mortgage-free houses this summer to honor America's war veterans.

The "Live Like You Were Dying" hitmaker will kick off his "Brothers of the Sun" tour with Kenny Chesney next month and as part of his commitment to retired service members, McGraw has pledged to hand one lucky veteran the keys to their own home at each concert stop.

He tells the Associated Press, "My sister's a veteran, my uncle's a veteran, my grandfather was a veteran, one of my best friends is a veteran. I've known people my whole life who are in service to America. And I think in my position to be able to do something like that is probably the ultimate thing. So to be able to go on tour and provide sort of a stable foundation for a veteran and their family is something I really look forward to."

McGraw's tour will begin in Tampa, Florida on June 2 before wrapping up in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Aug. 25.
