Governor McDonnell says he's not expecting to be picked as the Republican vice presidential running mate anytime soon. McDonnell was asked if he was being vetted, and he answered "only by the media." McDonnell went on to say, "I'm not interviewing, expecting it or thinking that it's going to happen." Meanwhile, it's possible that the GOP pick for governor in 2013 will be decided in only a few weeks. The State Central Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia will decide June 15th whether to change the process for choosing a GOP candidate. It could affect whether Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling or Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli wins the Republican party nomination. Political experts predict Cuccinelli has a better chance under a convention while Bolling supporters prefer an open primary.
