A reminder that the new voter ID law will not be in effect for today's Republican primary. The law that requires some form of identification does not kick in until July 1st. The State Board of Elections says a TV station in the Richmond area incorrectly reported that an ID would be required for the GOP primary. The polls are open until 7 o'clock tonight. George Allen, Bob Marshall, Jamie Radtke and E.W. Jackson are competing for the right to face Democrat Tim Kaine in the U.S. Senate race.
