Meat Loaf files lawsuit against impersonator
Meat Loaf has launched a legal battle against an impersonator for allegedly misleading fans over the Internet.
The "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" hitmaker has accused Dean Torkington of causing brand name confusion by registering his act "To Hell" and "Back: A Tribute to Meat Loaf" under the web domain MeatLoaf.org.
The star, who filed the documents at the Los Angeles Country Superior Court, insists the move was made in "bad faith" and he is now seeking $100,000 in damages.
Meat Loaf also wants a court injunction to shut down the site and hand over ownership of the domain under America's Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act, according to TMZ.
