Area Wineries Fare Well In California Competition



Some local wineries fared well at this year's San Francisco International Wine Competition.  Judges recognized the Barboursville Vineyards for producing the "Best of Show Dessert Wine."  The same winery received silver and bronze medals for its other entries.  The Keswick Vineyards also received multiple awards.  Those include a double gold medal, as well as one silver and two bronze medals.  Governor McDonnell notes the San Francisco event is the largest international wine competition in America and had entries from 26 states and 29 other nations.
