A 23-year-old man has been charged with destruction of property in both Albemarle and Charlottesville. County Police say Christopher James Benck (pictured) is accused of leaving graffiti last month on road signs and highly visible buildings on West Rio Road and Barracks Road. Police have charged Benck with three counts of damaging property in Albemarle and one count in the city. Investigators do not believe the graffiti is gang-related. Benck is scheduled to appear Thursday in Albemarle General District Court, and he's got a September 19th court date in the city.
