Jobless Rate Holds Steady In July



The July jobless rate for the Charlottesville metropolitan area was 5.3%, which is unchanged from the June figure.   Ann Lang of the Virginia Employment Commission says the statewide figure was 6%.  Lang says most Virginia localities had only marginal changes in their jobless ranks (pictured) between June and July.
