The Albemarle school board believes this is the academic year that the county will hit the 13,000 enrollment mark. Assistant Superintendent Billy Haun (pictured) has looked at trends since 2007, and he's seen the division gain about 500 students:

Meanwhile, the county has received 30 applications for a redistricting panel, and the school board hopes to choose the members in the next few weeks.
