Luke Bryan leads American Country Awards nominations



Rising star Luke Bryan is tipped to be the big winner at this year's American Country Awards after landing seven nominations.

The "Drunk on You" singer is up for the coveted Artist Of The Year prize alongside country superstars Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and the Zac Brown Band.

He has also received nods for Best Male Artist, Single of the Year, Best Male Single, Video of the Year, Best Male Video and Best Album for his record "Tailgates & Tanlines."

Other contenders for the coveted album prize include Lady Antebellum ("Own The Night"), Dierks Bentley ("Home"), Eric Church ("Chief") and Blake Shelton ("Red River Blue").

Lady Antebellum and the Zac Brown Band have six nods apiece, while Swift is up for five, including Best Female Artist, Single of the Year, Best Female Single and Best Female Video.

The ceremony will take place in December in Las Vegas and will be hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins.
