Man Wanted By Albemarle Police Taken Into Custody

Albemarle Police say a man they were looking for has been captured.  County Police say Michael Nelson Currier (pictured)  was arrested Thursday night (Oct. 18) at a hotel in Farmville.  Currier had been wanted on four felony counts, including burglary and grand larceny.  He had fled earlier in the week from a traffic stop in eastern Albemarle.  Authorities say Albemarle County Police, the Albemarle Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshal's Service, the Fluvanna Sheriff’s Office and State Police worked together to track and arrest Currier.
