Rutherford Institute Helps Challenge Tracking Chips



An Albemarle-based organization supports a Texas teenager who's fighting a school that requires students to wear tracking chips. John Whitehead (pictured) of the Rutherford Institute represents 15-year-old Andrea Hernandez of San Antonio, who opposes wearing a tracking chip for religious reasons. 
 
A Texas judge has told Whitehead's client she must leave the magnet school she's been attending and go to a school that doesn't require the chips. The school district convinced a judge that administrators use tracking chips so they will know where students are.
