Lawmakers Approve Amended State Budget



Both the House and Senate have adopted an amended version of the state budget.   Charlottesville Democrat David Toscano (pictured) found features he liked and was part of the 83-17 coalition that supported the plan.   

Most area delegates, including Republicans Ed Scott of Madison and Steve Landes (pictured) of Augusta County also voted for the budget amendments.   Rockbridge Republican Ben Cline was among the lawmakers who voted no, citing a lack of clarity over the possible expasion of the Medicaid program.

Albemarle GOP Delegate Rob Bell also voted no.
