Louisa Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child

A Louisa County man has been arrested on several counts of sexually assaulting a child.  The Louisa Sheriff's Office says 36-year-old Joe Callis Leake (pictured) of Windyknight Road in Montpelier is accused of assaulting a 10-year-old girl.  Investigators say Leake is a family acquaintance of the girl's mother, who lives in another county.  Authorities say Leake is accused of offering to take the girl shopping, but instead took her to his residence where the alleged offenses occurred.  Leake is charged with abduction, forcible sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration, and indecent liberties by a custodian.  Major Donnie Lowe of the Louisa Sheriff's Office says they're looking into whether or not there might be additional victims.
