Bulldogs Take A Bite Out Of Warriors, Win Jefferson District 23-0

Goochland was in control from start to finish Friday night shutting down the high-powered Western Albemarle offense en route to an 23-0 victory over the Warriors to claim the Jefferson District Championship. The Bulldogs led 2-0 at the half after recording a safety early in the 1st Quarter, then broke the game wide open in the 2nd Half. The Warriors (9-1, 7-1) failed to convert a fourth down and on the next Goochland possesion, Willie Ezell broke off an 80yd TD run to put Goochland up 9-0. Warrior QB Stephen Schuyler saw Goochland intercept a pass and run it back 85yds to put the Bulldogs (9-1, 7-1) ahead 16-0. The Bulldogs finished the scoring on an 23yd TD run to make the score 23-0.
